sweet sugar lips
When I was sixteen I always had candy with me. When my boyfriend would kiss me, he would smirk at me and say "your lips taste so sweet." My boyfriend back then was a guy named Christopher, a twenty-years-old college drop-out, who rode a motorcycle, and who every girl in his neighborhood was after. He was the first boy that made me run to the phone when it would ring and the first boy that would make me blush pink when he would pick me up after school. However, he was constantly smoking cigarettes and cigars. Yes, he was the definition of a "bad boy" with his flat stomach and tattoos all over his arms and chest. His smoking led me to the conclusion that "a girl should always carry candy in her bag," you understand why I wanted some sweetness when I kissed him. I grew to love the taste of sweet and sour. I hardly eat candy anymore, the mister (Will) does not smoke and have never smoked in his life, and I have learned better than to be sucking on extra sugar. However, the other day, the mister was having some sour wine with his meal while I was having dessert. He leaned in to kiss me and I got that sweet and sour taste all over again :d, and it made all these memories flash upon me. There is no better taste like it- made me want to carry some candy in my bag all over again ^_^

I need some sleep....
Winkin', Blinkin', and Nod, one night sailed off in a wooden shoe;
Sailed off on a river of crystal light into a sea of dew.
"Where are you going and what do you wish?" the old moon asked the three.
"We've come to fish for the herring fish that live in this beautiful sea.
Nets of silver and gold have we," said Winkin', Blinkin', and Nod.
The old moon laughed and sang a song as they rocked in the wooden shoe.
And the wind that sped them all night long ruffled the waves of dew.
Now the little stars are the herring fish that live in that beautiful sea;
"Cast your nets wherever you wish never afraid are we!"
So cried the stars to the fishermen three - Winkin', and Blinkin', and Nod.
So all night long their nets they threw to the stars in the twinkling foam.
'Til down from the skies came the wooden shoe bringing the fisherman home.
'Twas all so pretty a sail it seemed as if it could not be.
Some folks say 'twas a dream they dreamed of sailing that misty sea.
But I shall name you the fisherman three - Winkin', Blinkin', and Nod.
Now Winkin' and Blinkin' are two little eyes and Nod is a little head.
And the wooden shoe that sailed the skies is a wee one's trundle bed.
So close your eyes while mother sings of the wonderful sights that be.
And you shall see those beautiful things as you sail on the misty sea,
Where the old shoe rocked the fishermen three - Winkin', Blinkin', and Nod.

birthday girl
from left to right: Arianny, me, and Estefania
I've had one of the most amazing birthdays ever, and I do not want to forget a single moment. During the week, the mister took me boat-riding at Central park, so very sweet and romantic specially since he did all the rowing ;P. On thursday, he took me on the Circle Line 3-hour cruise (I know, I know, I live in New York City but believe it or not I had never done it and was dying to), it was both exciting and romantic :). On friday the 23rd (my official born day), we went to Six Flags with some friends, I was already beginning to feel the pain on my legs and feet, but it was soo much fun of course- we went on about every roller coaster ride. And lastly on saturday, a friend had an all-girls-bohemian-white-style get-together for my birthday celebration. I had not had so much fun and laughs in a while now. It was the perfect week, and couldn't have asked for more ^_^

first kiss
I feel like watching "My Girl" again, I used to love that movie when I was a little girl. This picture brought all those memories back since I related completely to the characters. Like Vada, my best friend was a boy, and I did share my first kiss with him (even though I was actually ordered to kiss him by my older sister haha) Ah people say "the "30's will be the best years of your life," but sometimes I think nothing beats the innocence, joy, and simplicity of childhood.
"I always surround myself with people who I find intellectually stimulating" -Vada

hip and pregnant
I don't think any amount of makeup can achieve the natural glow and beauty of a mother-to-be. Just look at Miroslava Mikheeva Dum's latest photographs, of course it helps that she is absolutely gorgeous, but seriously how cute and fashionable can a pregnant woman be? Adorable!

"swear i was born right in the doorway. i went out in the rain, suddenly everything changed. they're spreadin' blankets on the beach"
Can you say TALENT?
quote on title of this post is from "Bright Eyes- First Day of my Life" that Sita Marie had posted under one of her photographs

pretty dark lips
This look is just so elegant and pretty. I have never been able to pull of dark lips and eyes, actually I've never been able to pull of lipstick alone, but she makes it look so pretty I want to try wearing lipstick. I usually just do some smoky eyes and wear some lip balm. Furthermore, I hardly wear my hair up, but I'm promising myself next time I go out downtown in the city I will try this look.

zsa zsa zsu
Doesn't this picture make you want to pull all your hair up in a bun and cut your bangs? I don't know about you but I find it just so cute that it makes me want to cut my bangs again even when I know it will only be a few hours after I regret it. Bangs are such a hassle, always getting in my eyes, I have to wash them about every other day or otherwise they look untidy and unclean :/ Oh yes and not to mention, the mister is not a big fan of them. He made me grow them out because he says he likes to see my beautiful face, how could you say no to that? He's the only one that has made me feel all Zsa Zsa Zsu
And yes ladies and gentleman (if there are any guys out there that actually read my blog), I dare inform you that Zsa Zsa Zsu as described by Carrie (Sex and the City) as the "feeling you get when you meet someone you really really like, that sort of lovey, butterflies feeling when you just want to be with someone" has actually been added to the Urban Dictionary ;)

I miss sleepovers...
I remember since I was little I would have sleepovers. Over the years, I changed bestfriends (It was always my choice though thats another story obviously some sort of issues there) and each one got to sleep over at my place. I tried once a sleepover with a few friends but it didn't turn out very good- girls fighting, girls not talking to each other the next day, and so I always preferred to have one and one nights to talk, play, and listen to music, OH and of course record ourselves singing through the fan or a.c. :) Oh come one, you know you did it too ;P I think my last sleepover was at my bestfriend's house when I was in college (although there was no singing this time lol). We are a little too old for sleepovers, a few are graduating from college, some are married, and most have kids. I don't know but some part me misses this, these close bonds you create with your friends that over the years fade. Life gets in the way and we get too busy and lost in our own worlds

last day
My little long trip is over and now its time to head back to nyc. I absolutely hate packing. I have so much stuff that I had left behind before and a bunch of books and shoes I think is time for me to take back. We will see how much can actually fit inside my luggage. Agh, the day is hot and stuffy and I never even got to go to the beach :/
