the perfect baby pink lips

So after searching high and low, I have finally found the perfect light pink lipstick.
You see, I don't have any lipsticks (I know, gasp!). I had some lipsticks when I was in high school (it was the 90's and everyone had those dark brown lips-dont even want to remember those) but its been years since that. See, I like the "natural" look, so when I do wear makeup I just stick with a smoky eye and some lip treatment or gloss. For a while now, I wanted to rock the "nude lip" with my smokey eye, but every nude lipstick I tried just washed me out completely. I finally gave up on that and decided I just can't rock that too-pale-lips because I look dead in plain words. So I decided I should just get a light pink. But it was not that easy.  I tried so many and finally gave up on pink. Pink (specially cool pinks with blue undertones) certainly are not made for me. And then one day Urban Decay at Sephora made my day. My gorgeous mother happened to be looking at these strange looking lipsticks and voila! For some reason this color grabbed my attention:
And it was love at first lipstick. On me it is exactly as the pretty girl on the Jill Stuart Blush Blossom Ad all the way up in this post. It is a nude pink with brown undertones? I'm pretty bad at descriving. But there seems to be some light browns with pinks going on there, but the results are just beautiful!

Here is a picture from Temtalia's blog. Her lips are way more pale than mine so the lipstick looks quite different on her, a little bit more cool tone while on me the warm shows more. But whether you have more pigmented lips like mine, or paler lips like Temptalia's, this little lipstick is still a gem. Read her review here
I must say, I hate the packaging, to the point that I was not even going to buy it do to its bulky and rocker look, and the dagger thing at the bottom, seriously what is that all about?! I prefer a classier look, specially to my first lipstick. But I will look beyond this, because the color I must say is just gorgeous :)

hip and pregnant

I don't think any amount of makeup can achieve the natural glow and beauty of a mother-to-be. Just look at Miroslava Mikheeva Dum's latest photographs, of course it helps that she is absolutely gorgeous, but seriously how cute and fashionable can a pregnant woman be? Adorable!

"swear i was born right in the doorway. i went out in the rain, suddenly everything changed. they're spreadin' blankets on the beach"

Can you say TALENT?
Sita Marie's photographs are absolutely beautiful, like Eva Luna X said "when I look at her photostream it's like I'm entering another magical world where I want to curl up and live forever; where pretty girls wear summery dresses and cast shadows in the forest, dance in the pouring rain and exchange secrets with their goldfish after a long day at the beach." I could not describe it better than her. And believe it or not Sita Marie is only 12 years old. Yes, you read right, nope, its not 12 years doing this, but only 12 years old in this little old planet earth. Is it a gift or talent? I don't know but I was truly impressed with her pictures as it is, and when finding out she was only 12, well then I was just speechless. Check out all  of her breathtaking sets here.

pretty dark lips

This look is just so elegant and pretty. I have never been able to pull of dark lips and eyes, actually I've never been able to pull of lipstick alone, but she makes it look so pretty I want to try wearing lipstick. I usually just do some smoky eyes and wear some lip balm. Furthermore, I hardly wear my hair up, but I'm promising myself next time I go out downtown in the city I will try this look.

zsa zsa zsu

Doesn't this picture make you want to pull all your hair up in a bun and cut your bangs? I don't know about you but I find it just so cute that it makes me want to cut my bangs again even when I know it will only be a few hours after I regret it. Bangs are such a hassle, always getting in my eyes, I have to wash them about every other day or otherwise they look untidy and unclean :/  Oh yes and not to mention, the mister is not a big fan of them. He made me grow them out because he says he likes to see my beautiful face, how could you say no to that? He's the only one that has made me feel all Zsa Zsa Zsu
And yes ladies and gentleman (if there are any guys out there that actually read my blog), I dare inform you that Zsa Zsa Zsu as described by Carrie (Sex and the City) as the "feeling you get when you meet someone you really really like, that sort of lovey, butterflies feeling when you just want to be with someone" has actually been added to the Urban Dictionary ;)

if I can live anywhere else in the world it would be....

Greece
20090316004903I'm just in love with everything about it. I love its old white-washed structures with its blue doors, domes and details. Its arquitecture is gorgeous with so many homes, temples and monuments congested together. And the scenery? There are just no words to describe it, is just breathtaking, and I have not even experience it with my own eyes. I can just see myself walking through its little narrow passages through its mountainous ranges that slice into celestial waterscapes- can you say heaven? I just love its mountainous landscapes and the feeling of looking down and being able to capture so much, opening a window and staring into its sapphire blue Mediterranean waters, and having everything so clustered together. There's so much nature and so much history in every corner. I love how every angel seems to face somewhere, and just by going out to your balcony you can see your neighbor's door, you look up and see another neighbor's balcony, and you look to the side and something else is there, you take a few steps and you are at their place. As much as I love my New York City, I cant say that much about its views. Looking out my bedroom window all I see is concrete and some other tight-closed windows. Looking out through my kitchen I have a decent view of tall and short buildings all around me and a few greens and blues, but mostly everything is shades of brown and gray concrete arquitecture. I most say our nights are gorgeous, with all our twinkling lights and bright signs but I most say I'll give it all up for some clean air, warm-sea breezes and peaceful ethereal scenes. I don't think I'll ever find a place more beautiful than Greece with all its mazes of intriguing little streets with hidden treasures. I need to visit here one day but I need minimum a whole week of strolling around its narrow stone-step streets, and it's charming terraces, gorgeous courtyards, romantic restaurants, and of course relaxing and enjoying its to-die-for celestial sceneries. These pictures don't even capture all the rest you can find of gorgeous Greece.
